Job Description/Responsibilities
Position Overview: The Technical Maintenance & Services Manager will lead a high-performing service department, ensuring efficient and profitable operations. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in technical maintenance, team management, and customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and maintaining high standards of service quality. Key Responsibilities: • Department Management: Lead and oversee all aspects of the service department, including staffing, budgeting, and reporting. • Goal Setting & Achievement: Forecast and strive to meet departmental goals, driving productivity and profitability. • Staff Development: Hire, train, motivate, and monitor the performance of service department staff, ensuring a cohesive and effective team. • Operational Planning: Develop and implement operational plans to promote both new and repeat business. • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to relevant regulations (e.g., NEPA, NSWMA, KSAMC) and maintain high-quality service standards, minimizing comebacks. • Customer Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring prompt and fair service delivery. Handle customer complaints according to company guidelines and ensure follow-up to confirm customer satisfaction. • Technical Oversight: Monitor daily productivity, manage warranty processes, and recommend new tools or equipment to enhance service delivery. • Collaboration: Work closely with parts managers, suppliers, and factory representatives to ensure seamless operations. • Reporting: Maintain accurate service records and provide regular reports to senior management.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field). • 5-10 years of technical and practical experience in a related field. • 3-5 years of managerial experience, with a strong familiarity with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic technologies. • Strong leadership and team-building skills. • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with experience presenting to various stakeholders. • Proven ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, and procedure manuals. • Familiarity with reporting systems, KPIs, and business management tools.
