Job Description/Responsibilities

Are you an effective leader with a passion for hospitality? Hotel Catalonia is seeking an experienced Room Division Manager to oversee and ensure the smooth operation of their Rooms Division departments, adhering to their high standards of quality and service. Key Responsibilities: • Ensure strict adherence to processes and quality standards. • Collaborate with management in preparing the expense budget for the departments under their responsibility, ensuring proper account application and strict control of expenses and costs. • Oversee the hotel’s occupancy. • Propose sales closures to General Management to prevent overbooking. • Monitor competitor prices online. • Supervise the timely processing of reservations. • Ensure accurate billing. • Inform other relevant departments of clients' check-in and check-out times and forecasts. • Control closures and ensure that credits and corrections are documented. • Supervise that check-ins and check-outs are conducted according to processes. • Conduct rounds to ensure that areas are always clean and orderly. • Ensure that at least 50% of arriving rooms are inspected by floor supervisors, assistant housekeepers, or housekeepers, and maintenance supervisors. • Perform sampling to verify the condition of the rooms. • Sample-check minimum stock levels to ensure the efficient operation of departments. • Ensure the effective functioning of all departments under your responsibility.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Tourism & Hospitality Management or related field. • Minimum of 5 years in a similar position, preferably in the hotel sector in Jamaica/Caribbean. • Positive attitude, leadership, organizational skills, proactive, strong interpersonal skills, decision-making ability, creativity, innovation, and ability to work under pressure. • Fluency in English required; knowledge of Spanish is a plus. • Residence in Montego Bay or nearby areas preferred.
